Thursday, September 24, 2009 - Kim Clijsters, coming off of a much-deserved 2009 US Open win, announces today she will defend her title in all four Grand Slam tournaments of 2010.
Clijsters, of Belgium, says she is more focused than ever to win the four Grand Slam Tournaments in 2010, which will leave time to spend with her year old daughter, Jada, and husband.
Clijsters will limit her playtime in 2009 to just one tournament in Luxembourg next month before starting the 2010 season at the Brisbane International for two months of intense training for the Australian Open.
Along with the four Grand Slams, the 26-year-old will be competing at the Sony Ericsson Open, BNP Paribas Open, Cincinnati Masters, Rogers Cup, Beijing, and the Masters in Doha, if she qualifies.
