In the spirit of motivational speakers and self-help books everywhere, I am writing down (or up?) my professional goals for 2005:
1) Get a credential to cover Wimbledon
2) Have a story published in a mainstream magazine
3) Create a blog that effectively promotes junior tennis in the United States
4) Read David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest
5) Play an integral role in production of Zoo, the Movie
6) Attend the NCAA Division 1 Championships with a freelance assignment
7) Watch more 12s and 14s
8) Become conversant with the NCAA regulations for amateur athletes
9) Listen more, talk less
10) Do all the above while observing the Twenty-Five Rules of Considerate Conduct, from PM Forni's book Choosing Civility
