USTA Summer Collegiate Team Announced; Cecil Wins on Pro Circuit and More

I'm still trying to get a handle on all I missed while I was covering the NCAAs in Tulsa, and I've come up with several items that I don't want to skip over.
    • The USTA selects the Summer Collegiate Team, with a dozen Americans offered the chance to travel to Pro Circuit events in the next few months with coaches Rance Brown (women) and Kyle Spencer (men). Marcia Frost of collegeandjuniortennis.com has photos of them here. Except for Ohio State's Bryan Koniecko, the selections all follow the final ITA rankings.
    • Mallory Cecil, who was injured this spring and unable to use the qualifying wild card to the WTA Family Circle event that she had earned at the SMASH Jr. Cup, won the $10,000 Pro Circuit event in her home state of South Carolina last weekend. Cecil defeated former Stanford star Theresa Logar in a three-set final. For complete draw, see the Pro Circuit results page.
    • Sachia Vickery turned 13 less than a month ago, which meant she is eligible for ITF junior events. In her first outing, Vickery won the Grade 5 in Costa Rica as an unseeded qualifier (although she had to win only one qualifying match). For results, see the ITF junior site.
    • At the ITF in Waco last month, Florida's Olivia Janowicz earned her first ITF singles title. The boys title went to Russian Artem Ilyushin. See the TennisLink site for complete draws.
    • The wrestling team at Arizona State has raised enough money to be restored, but the men's swimming and tennis teams are still in limbo while searching for five million dollar endowments. The East Valley Tribune explains the dilemma here.
